Audio Team

Tech Team Photo Audio Team members come from a variety of backgrounds, experience levels, and skillsets, but they share a passion for worship, a dersire to use their God-given gifts, and a desire to serve the Lord and His people. Our Audio Teams are scheduled on a monthly basis, based on an individual's desire and availability, and team members typically serve 1-2 times per month. Rehearsal attendance requirements vary depending on the specific area of service.

Audio Team Volunteer Opportunities:

Worship Center Lead Audio Technician:

The Worshp Center Lead Audio Technician is responsible for all aspects of Live Audio production and transmission during Sunday services that originate in the Worship Center. This individual is responsible for creating the FOH (Front of House) audio mix, coordinating the monitor mixes, working under the direction of the Worship Leader and Tech Director, as well as supervising the Worship Center Assistant Tech.

Lead Audio Techs typically have experience in live audio, with experience operating an Allen & Heath ML-5000 console or similar, have a knowledge of Crossroads teams and production processes, and the ability to work in a fast paced environment. This position is typically filled by someone who has served at Crossroads as an Audio Assistant, or who has served as a Lead Audio Tech in a similar live production environment.

Worship Center Assistant Audio Technician:

The Worship Center Audio Assistant is responsible for creating all mixes for remote venues and tape, and operating CD/Cassette/Computer recording gear. This is an ideal entry level position for someone new to our teams.

Great Room Audio Technician:

The Great Room Audio Tech is responsible for all aspects of audio production, recording and playback in the Great Room, on Sunday mornings. This individual should have some live audio experience, be comfortable operating a digital audio console (Yamaha LS9), and capable of working with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.

The Chapel Audio Technician:

The Millbrook Cafe' Audio Tech is responsible for all aspects of audio production, recording and playback in the Millbrook Cafe, on Sunday mornings. This individual should have some live audio experience, be comfortable operating a digital audio console (Yamaha LS-9 or similar), and capable of working with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.

Wake Forest - Rolesville Campus

The Wake Forest Audio Tech is responsible for all aspects of audio production, recording and playback in the Worship Center, on Sunday mornings. This individual should have some live audio experience, be comfortable operating a digital audio console (Yamaha LS9), and capable of working with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.

Special Projects/Installation/Maintenance:

We are always seeking skilled volunteers with specific experience installing and maintaining A/V systems, for regular maintenance tasks, and special projects/installations.

Special Events:

Special Event Audio/Visual Techs are responsible for all aspects of audio and video production, and playback in their assigned venue for special events, including weddings, funerals, and church-wide special events/seasonal holidays. These team members should have specific live audio experience on Crossroads systems in the assigned venue, be comfortable operating either a analog or digital audio console (Allen & Heath ML-5000, Yamaha LS-9 or similar), have good troubleshooting skills, and be capable of working with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment. They might additionally be called upon to operate video presentation equipment, based upon the event and venue.
